Want to hit the trail? Miles of beautiful horse trails already exist in the nearby Jefferson National Forest, and even more are currently being created. If you have draft animals, don't miss our annual wagon trains, which have been rolling through Scott County since at least the 1960s.
The newly created Scott County Horse Park is now home to a wide range of equestrian events, including shows for various breeds, horse pulls and plow-offs for the draft horse enthusiasts, and lots of opportunties for young people to get involved with horses.
Check out the Scott County Horse Association's website for a calendar of equestrian events in our area. Regardless of whether your interests are in trail riding, showing, or just watching these beautiful animals, Scott County is full of opportunities.
